Magazine website

I worked on the original AOL/Time Inc. magazine website. AOL consolidated content from each magazine's website to AOL's ad serving infrastructure. This was the first real monetization of online adverting.

As busy as these pages are we continued to refine the layouts to include white space and well thought out images and typography.

The over-arching goal, at this point, was defining adverting unit sizes and placement. The analytics of each ad unit was priced accordingly. The content and visual layout was secondary.

All the elements of contemporary web design is present and utilized today. It's a good example of 'everything including the kitchen sink' design theory.
